Interim Evaluation Report (IER) Of On-Going Projects Under The Pre-Accession and Transition Facility Programmes in Malta The IER examines the progress of the Programmes towards the objectives stated in the formal programming documents. The report is intended to provide management information for the benefit of the Joint Monitoring Committee and other involved parties. It draws conclusions and puts forward recommendations

ERCS, together with EMCS Ltd, and WM-Enterprise from UK, was involved in evaluating over 50 projects that were and are currently being financed by EU Pre-Accession and Transition Facility Programmes. This project consists of assessing the relevance and design of such programmes, the efficiency of the projects in their implementation, the effectiveness in reaching immediate objectives, the impact on the economy and their long-term sustainability. The evaluation exercise will span over 18 months during which three evaluation reports will be prepared. As part of the project, training for public officers dealing with EU funded projects will also be delivered. This is considered to be the most extensive evaluation exercise undertaken in Malta.
