John Farrugia Director

John Farrugia is a Director of EMCS having joined EMCS Limited in 1995. He is an honours graduate in Business Management from the University of Malta, and holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree with distinction from Warwick Business School, with a specialisation in Strategic Management and Marketing. John has extensive experience in strategic planning, economic research, project development and finance strategy. He worked for the Malta Veterinary Service for several years as Head of Planning and Information where he was responsible for the introduction of the strategic planning process and for restructuring the information system towards the achievement of strategic objectives. John has also worked for Dominos Pizza U.S.A., the largest private restaurant chain in the world, where he gained extensive experience in the management of operations and the marketing of service organisations. During his studies in England he also acted as a consultant for A.E. Clutterbuck, a lighting manufacturer, and was involved in the preparation for an information systems strategy for the firm. John is currently engaged in the provision of management and economics consultancy to various leading organisations and public institutions in Malta and abroad. He is responsible for leading services related to corporate finance and investment at EMCS.
